Resolution:
|
WHEREAS, the Board of Education had open conversation about returning to learn for second semester during this evening's meeting held January 4, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education previously approved the return to learn plan for first semester 2020; and
WHEREAS, the District recommends offering the hybrid and remote learning models second semester; and
WHEREAS, personal protective equipment has been purchased and distributed to schools and each school has a COVID-19 School Safety Plan of Action in place; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education approved that the District participate will as a pilot district for the BinaxNow Antigen testing program; and
WHEREAS, based on the decreasing trends of the COVID-19 metrics for Sangamon County, the District recommends beginning the hybrid learning model January 12, 2021;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves providing the hybrid and remote models for the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves beginning the hybrid learning model on Tuesday, January 12, 2021; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the District will follow guidance from the State of Illinois and Illinois Department of Public Health including a return to a full remote model if warranted.
